Athabasca University Reduces ICT Carbon Footprint
AbstractThis paper discusses a plan that has been developed to move Athabasca University (AU) forward in its objective of reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. Specifically the plan will reduce Information and Communication Technology (ICT) related carbon emissions by a minimum of 30 percent by 2012. By achieving its goals, it will also move AU closer to compliance with the American Colleges and Universities Presidents’ Commitment to Climate Change (ACUPCC).
