How Three Journalism Advocacy Organizations Defended Journalists during the 2011 Protests in Egypt

Abstract

When journalists who were covering the 2011 political protests in Egypt became targets of assaults and intimidation, three journalism advocacy groups issued press releases condemning Egypt’s actions, advocating for the humane treatment of all journalists, and documenting dozens of incidents of press attacks.
