PEER TUTORING FOR ENGLISH COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract


Mastering second or foreign language,
students must be able to use the target language
communicatively. Language is not only
knowledge but also tool for communication.
There are some problems of teaching English
such as: one way communication; the English
teachers can not cover all aspects of learning; the
low awareness of learning; the low participation
of students to learning; and a big gap between
active and passive students. The peer tutoring is
one of ways to increase students’ motivation and
their awareness on their own learning. It also
can help teachers to develop all learning aspects
in communicative language teaching.
