Electronic devices are widely used in the content delivery and one of the most common practice is showing the slide using computer projection. However, it may not be the most effective way of course content delivery, in comparison to writing on board in real time. An action research is carried out to investigate the preference of showing slide versus writing on board. The survey results show that most student prefer writing on board teaching style as it is as easier to follow, less revision time is required after the lesson and etc. The implementation of writing on board in online learning is also presented. The online learning in this work does not require dedicated setup and the cost is kept to a minimum.
