An Efficient Direct Method for Integro Differential Equations System

Abstract


A direct method based upon orthogonal triangular
functions (TF)s is developed for solving the system of integrodifferential
equations (IDE)s. By using TFs and their properties
in obtaining operational matrices of product and integration, the
solution of integro-differential equations system can be reduced to
the solution of algebraic equations. Some numerical examples
illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method. The proposed
method can be applied to obtain the solution of both Fredholm
and Volterra integro-differential equations.
