Some Morpho-Anatomical and Conservation Status Studies on Rare Endemic Astragalus eskishehiricus Podlech (sect. Onobrychoidei, Fabaceae) from EskiÅŸehir (Turkey)
Abstract
Astragalus eskishehiricus Podlech which distributes
only one limited locality in the EskiÅŸehir (Turkey) is one of the
rare endemic of Turkey. In this study, first time anatomical
properties are given of A. eskishehiricus. Transverse sections of
the root, stem, leaf and surface sections of the leaves were
investigated to identify the anatomical features. Its morphological
characters have been checked and its conservations status is
given for the first time.
