Structural Analysis of QRS Complexes for Detection of Bundle Branch Blocks

Abstract

The cardiac conduction system is very much responsible for proper functioning of the human heart and hence, the human body. Disturbances in the cardiac conduction system may lead to serious consequences; immediate and accurate diagnosis of cardiac diseases is necessary to prevent long term damage. This paper proposes a new approach to detect Bundle Branch blocks by detecting the changes in the QRS complex morphology of Electrocardiographic (ECG) signals using Continuous Wavelet Transforms (CWT).
