the late 1990s but has re-emerged in the public eye in current years under guises such as Big Data, Digitalization, Globalization and much more. Early on there was some interest in the effects of disruption on the field of strategy management, but in light of the recent developments of disruption as a concept, perhaps it time to revisit the theoretical implications of disruption on the field of strategic management.
